A phone call will bring a transition specialist to your doorstep to evaluate your needs and offer suggestions on the services that would be of benefit to your particular situation.
Together you will select the areas where you feel that help is needed and discuss pricing options. Then, with your collaboration and input, your H2H specialist will develop a detailed schedule of the steps that will follow and with your approval will proceed to carry them out.
At the old home:
- Using the new home floor plans, work with the clients to photograph, list, and tag the items selected to be moved.

Separate and label artwork, rugs and decorations to be moved.

If there are items that need to be stored, get estimate for storage unit.

Separate items to be donated or given away to family or friends and label them. Arrange for donation, gifts to be picked up.

Sort and mark items to be packed and moved. Supervise packing.

Separate for shredding obsolete papers and documents.

Dispose of unwanted items and trash.

Get estimates from moving companies.

Pack the “must have” items, medicines, important papers, special food needs, etc, before the movers come, and have them available for use by the clients.

Supervise the packing by movers.

Prepare the house for sale to maximize its value.

Evaluate repairs needed/plumbing/electrical/etc.

Do lawn and yard clean-up

At the new home:
- Prepare floor plans and pictures of the new home. Review floor plans with client to maximize storage space and help with furniture selection and placement
- Arrange for service connection of utilities to the new home
- Supervise arrival of movers to the new house.
- Unpack boxes and organize in drawers, cabinets, closets.
- Arrange carpets and furniture according to approved placement.
- Hang pictures, place decorations.
- Stock refrigerator with essentials.
- Dispose of moving boxes and wrappings.
- Arrange to discontinue utilities in the old house once sold.
- Check that kitchen appliances, lamps, etc are working
At the end of moving day: The boxes are gone, everything is in place, and the residents are ready to start a brand new chapter of their lives.
